Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced Education Technician Level II or III to support a high school student in a life skills program. This contract position is based near Lewiston, ME, working Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, through the end of the current school year. The role requires working 1:1 with a high school student, primarily in a special education setting, emphasizing behavior management and classroom support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to a high school student with behavioral and educational needs
• Assist in daily classroom activities within the life skills program
• Implement behavior management strategies effectively
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to promote student success and engagement
• Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment

Qualifications and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Valid drivers license or reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience working with children inside and outside classroom settings
• Experience working with students with Autism is highly preferred
• Strong classroom management skills and experience working with behavioral students

Location: Lewiston, ME area
