We're looking for ambitious, self-motivated people to help our business strengthen its accounting division.

Job Description:

The Accountant position reports directly to the CFO. The ideal candidate will be able to juggle multiple priorities on tight deadlines. Be solution oriented - if you encounter a problem, formulate several solutions and present them to the owner/CFO for approval. Self-motivated and works well with minimal supervision.

Accountant position is responsible for activities within the accounting department such as: 

● Accounts Payable

● Accounts Receivable

● Payroll

● Ad hoc analysis & reporting

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable
  • Maintain accounts payable
  • Record payments & ensure accuracy
  • Ensure bills are recorded to the appropriate expense account & rink

  • Accounts Receivable
  • Review daily deposits for accuracy and update QBO as needed
  • Admission revenue
  • Membership revenue
  • Video game revenue
  • Work with general managers to resolve discrepancies for daily cashouts

  • Payroll
  • Trained on payroll as back-up for CFO
  • Work with general managers to ensure accuracy of hours for hourly employees
  • Review deductions (health insurance, garnishments etc…) for accuracy
  • On-board new employees (I9, enter into payroll system etc…)

  • Month End Close
  • Support CFO in month-end close process as appropriate
  • Resolve reconciliation discrepancies
  • Ensure all transactions are assigned to the appropriate class (i.e. location)

  • Ad Hoc Analysis & Reporting
  • Provide accurate analysis in a timely manner to general managers and other members of the leadership team as requested
  • Profitability analysis on concession items sold across all locations
  • Staffing analysis: budget vs. actual

  • Other Duties As Assigned
  • Ability to fill in as required to support events
  • Assist other departments when necessary

Qualifications:

● Have 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferably with a small business

● Experienced with Quickbooks Online

● Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & Google suite (gmail, google drive etc…)

  • Proficient with excel i.e. pivot tables, vlookup etc…

● Understand people and demonstrate it through sophisticated communication

● Are a creative problem solver. You have a positive, solution-oriented mindset that sees issues as opportunities.

● Are detail-oriented and can easily coordinate work and maintain relationships with multiple colleagues managing each sector of our company

● Work in a fast-paced environment, while juggling multiple priorities

Compensation:

● $50K to $60K annual salary, commensurate with experience

● 50% of employee health insurance

● 10 days of PTO
