Job Details Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the company's Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure accurate costing data.
- Oversee fixed asset accounting, including recording the cost of newly-acquired fixed assets, tracking existing assets, performing audits, and ensuring proper depreciation schedules.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely monthly financial reports to management, including cost analysis, budget vs actual, and variances.
- Maintain the general ledger system, ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions, and reconcile account balances.
- Develop and implement cost reduction strategies to maximize profitability without compromising product quality or service delivery.
- Work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure accurate product costing and to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Participate in budget preparation and financial forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the marketing industry.
- Proficiency in Bill of Materials (BOM) and fixed asset accounting.
- Strong experience in monthly reporting and maintaining general ledgers.
- Demonstrated success in cost reduction initiatives.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced skills in Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- A professional accounting certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.
