Financial Analyst

Responsibilities:

  • Create reporting frameworks to ensure optimal business decisions are made:
  • Partner with leaders to assess, identify and prioritize performance reporting needs including key metrics.
  • Continuously improve existing reporting and forecasting to limit information gaps and to provide information to manage the business more effectively.
  • Ensure all relevant reporting deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with Operations leaders to fully understand monthly P&L reports and to drive revenue and margin growth.
  • Partner with Operations leaders to understand variances to budget and prior year each month.
  • Analyze financial results, including trends, budget, forecast and related variances.
  • Review trends and drivers of financial performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with leaders to gather action plans to close any performance gaps to budget.
  • Produce budgeting and forecasting reports
  • Coordinate data request required to produce the annual budget.
  • Maintain ownership of the P&L, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows financial model.
  • Perform additional high profile ad-hoc analyses and decision support as required.
  • Participate in preparation of board presentations and partner requests.
  • Experience with data modeling and dashboard tools such as Power BI.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in financial/data analysis.
  • Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated high energy, high inquisitiveness and a high degree of work ownership.
  • Strong desire to learn all aspects of Lanter's business, systems, data and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to make confident, fact-based decisions.
  • Highly developed interpersonal communication skills. Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Superior organizational skills; proven ability to multi-task and manage simultaneous projects.
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
  • Ability to forecast issues to understand potential impact both internally and externally.
  • Exposure to financial accounting systems, operating systems, and data warehouses.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel and PowerPoint); ability to work with large datasets

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA and/or Public Accounting experience a plus
  • MBA or Master's in Accounting or Finance, a plus

Working Conditions

  • The typical office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (May vary based on assigned support locations)
  • Hybrid work schedule with 1-2 days work from home and 3-4 days in office
  • Ability to work extra hours as determined by the workload and internal customer expectations
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to travel to site locations periodically
  • Ability to speak English to communicate with clients, employees, vendors, etc.
