About As a Motion Graphics Artist at Riot, you'll take the player experience to the next level by creating high-quality motion graphics for our gameplay and systems. Your technical skill for motion and compositing will breathe life into the game, transforming static scenes into powerful moments for players. You will collaborate with other artists and designers to establish how assets and UI elements will respond, transition, and increase player immersion. The role of a Motion Graphics Artist on the Seasons team is responsible for the ideation, development and production of UI animations for in-game and around-game experiences such as the Season Battlepass, Progression Systems, Summoner's Rift and other new game modes. You will partner with Visual Designers, UX Designers, Audio, Product, and Engineers to bring interactive experiences to life and to players through world class motion design. You will assist with League's motion needs such as UI animatics, motion tests, page transitions, full motion user flows, and more. Responsibilities Create UI animatics from UI and art assets, following the League of Legends quality, style and motion conventions Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to create motion experiences both in-game and out of game in the League Client Guide style and workflow improvements to unlock the potential for future artists Balance craft and product feedback with empathy and focus on player experience Understand and work within the League's game engine to assist engineers with the implement of motion graphics in the game Required Qualifications 3+ years of professional experience storyboarding and creating high-quality motion graphics for games, interactive experiences, or other media Experience animating celebrations, UI systems, animatics, notifications and HUDs Experience with real-time particle and VFX-based animations Proficiency in Adobe After Effects and experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator Desired Qualifications Experience in 3D with motion including Maya, 3DSMax, Cinema4D, or other industry standard software Experience in Unity, Unreal, or other game engines Experience with Perforce Experience in Figma Knowledge of best practices for optimized implementation For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and prioritizing the delight of players.
