Job Details Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or argue for plaintiffs in civil litigation.
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to formulate legal opinions and case strategies.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
• Negotiate settlements of civil disputes, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients.
• Manage and oversee paralegals and legal assistants.
• Prepare legal briefs and opinions, and file appeals in state and federal courts of appeal.
• Engage in discovery processes, including the drafting of discovery responses and conducting depositions.
• Handle court hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Current license to practice law in Texas.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a plaintiff attorney, specifically in personal injury law.
• Strong experience in PI litigation and trial experience, including jury trials.
• Familiarity with Texas Procedure and Texas Civil Procedure.
• Proficient in drafting and responding to discovery responses and conducting depositions.
• Proven experience in Motions Practice.
• Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes.
• Experience in court hearings and mediations.
• Strong case management and legal writing skills.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Excellent research skills, with a focus on legal research.
• Knowledge of litigation, negotiation, and legal compliance.
• Experience in court proceedings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
