MaineHealth Maine Medical Center, seeks a Psychiatric Physician Assistant to join our team in Portland, Maine. We are a cohesive team representing many disciplines, including Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, Pharmacists, Resident Physicians and Medical Students. We value teamwork and strive to nurture a supportive environment. The Physician Assistant provides psychiatric consultation to inpatients at Maine Medical Center. The candidate should have a comfort working with patients with substance use disorders.
This full time position includes a weekend day and 4 weekdays. From 8:00am to 4:00pm. They provide face to face psychiatric evaluations and medication recommendations to patients on medical/surgical units. Due to the hospital-based setting, an ability to multitask and manage acute clinical scenarios is essential.
