Job Title: RN Corrections (Days) - California City, CA

Location: California City, CA

Schedule: Day shift

Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possibility to extend)

Guaranteed Hours: 36/week

Weekly Gross Pay: $1,633.00

Job Overview:
Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position at a correctional facility in California City, CA. This role involves providing direct patient care, medication administration, emergency response, and supporting physician-led services within a secure environment. The RN must be capable of working independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and compliance with correctional healthcare standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed treatments and medications
• Assist with physical examinations, sick call, and triage care
  
• Evaluate and monitor inmates with acute or chronic conditions
• Provide emergency response and crisis intervention as needed
  
• Document all care and maintain confidentiality of medical records
• Supervise and support LPNs and non-licensed medical staff
  
• Adhere to established policies, pharmacy laws, and clinical standards
• Collaborate with correctional and medical staff to ensure continuity of care
  
• Escort inmates to and from medical appointments as required
  Participate in audits, reporting, and safety initiatives

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Active and unrestricted California RN license
  
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with a Social Security card for ICE clearance
• Must live 70+ miles away from the facility
• Must be able to start within 2 weeks
  
• Must have open availability , including weekends and holidays
• Valid drivers license required
  
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• No RTO (Requested Time Off) during contract period

Preferred:

• 1+ year of recent RN experience
• Correctional, emergency, or institutional healthcare experience
  
• Active AHA BLS certification
