Job Description

Qualifications:

• Valid state certification in Special Education with a multi-categorical endorsement
• Demonstrated experience teaching students with diverse learning needs, preferably in a self-contained classroom
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly with paraprofessionals and other support staff
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain a structured and positive learning atmosphere for K-8th grade students
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals to support students' individual needs
• Assess students progress and adapt instructional strategies to meet varied learning requirements
• Develop, review, and implement IEPs in partnership with students, parents, and support staff
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities
