Job Description
Quickbooks bookkeeper needed for a small 2 person office for a commercial HVAC company in North Syracuse.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records for multiple commercial construction projects
Process accounts payable and receivable; ensure timely payments and collections
Manage job costing and allocation of expenses to specific projects
Perform bank reconciliations
Assist with year-end financial reports
Prepare and process payroll
Maintain vendor and subcontractor files, including W-9s and COIs
Support audits and liaise with external accountants
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper in the commercial construction industry
Must have Proficiency with QuickBooks
Strong understanding of job costing, AIA billing, and lien waivers
Familiarity with payroll processing and prevailing wage laws
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication abilities
High level of integrity and confidentiality
